Mudarasah

Memorize the Quran the way you would train for a race.

Mudarasah turns memorizing into a training plan. Pick a plan, and each day gives you three parts: revise what you learned recently, memorize the new lesson, then go round what you already hold. All of it in the Madinah Mushaf, in English or Arabic.

Mudarasah
How it works

A day's work, then the next one.

Every plan is made of lessons that grow a little each week, revision days, lighter weeks to consolidate, and a test at the end of each juz. Mudarasah keeps the plan. Each day you open it and start.

Today's session

Recent revision (sabqi), the new lesson (sabaq), then long revision (manzil), in order, as one connected list. Tap a part and it opens on its page in the Mushaf.

Recite from memory

Hide the ayat and recite them from memory. When you finish a part, rate how it went.

The plan

A month calendar of how each day went and what each day ahead holds. Each week's plan is released when the week begins, with a progress card under it.

The journey

Your plan as levels, a juz each. Pass the juz test and the next level opens.

The Madinah Mushaf

The text, font and page layout of the King Fahd Glorious Qur'an Printing Complex. The surah list shows how much of each surah you hold and how fresh it is.

Your way

Start from Al-Fātiḥah or from An-Nās, set the daily amount in ayat or pages, tell it where you have memorized up to, pick light or dark, and set a daily reminder.

Each one sets the lesson size, how fast it grows, which days are for revision, when a lighter week comes and when a juz is tested. If you already hold part of the Quran, tell the app where you are and it goes on from there.

Questions

Before you start

Does it cost anything?

No. It is free.

Is it in Arabic?

Yes. The whole app is in English and Arabic, laid out right to left in Arabic.

Which Mushaf does it use?

The Madinah Mushaf of the King Fahd Glorious Qur'an Printing Complex: its text, its font and its page layout.

I have memorized some already. Do I start from zero?

Yes. Choose the direction in Settings: from Al-Fātiḥah to An-Nās, or from An-Nās back to Al-Fātiḥah.

When can I get it?

It is coming soon to iPhone and Android.

Start where you are.
